- The US Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, intends to procure this requirement on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Service Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The US Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, intends to enter into a firm, fixed-price contract with American State Equipment Co Inc, 2055 S 108th St, Milwaukee, WI, 53227-1103. The NAICS code for this procurement is 335314 with a size standard not to exceed 750 employees. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES and no solicitation will be issued; however, any small-business firm that believes it can meet the requirement may give written notification to the Contracting Officer. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement listed. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The scope of the work includes the following: a.Provide the following new Liebherr replacement parts and repair services to repair HS885 crane: 1.Replace two (2) damaged window frame lacing pieces for the 10 and 20 foot sections of boom. Provide the welding services of a qualified Liebherr repair technician to remove the defective lacing and install new pieces of lacing. b.Remove and replace damaged boom hoist cable with new boom cable. c.Remove and replace two damaged sheaves in the boom point with new sheaves.
