This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE only. Responses to this notice will be used for information and planning purposes. No proposals are being requested or accepted with this notice. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT SHALL BE AWARDED FROM THIS NOTICE. This notice shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation on the part of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Responses to this sources sought is not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation. VA North Texas HCS (VANTXHCS) is in the process of evaluating the use of training with Qigong Principles to gain health, balance, strength training, focus and stress reduction. To accomplish this, VANTXHCS intends to acquire professional instructors to provide training for veterans and staff in therapeutic activities using Qigong principles. In order to accomplish an acquisition of this type, an evaluation of industry availability will be conducted through the use of this SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE. Disclaimer: The following requested information to be provided is for planning purposes only and does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) nor does it restrict the Government as to the ultimate acquisition approach. The government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this sources sought notice or to otherwise pay for the information solicited. Any contract that might be awarded based on information received or derived from this sources sought will be the outcome of the competitive process. Any response to this request for information must include a discussion of the organizations qualifications with regard to the following Governmental Standards: Health Information Portability and Assurance Act (HIPPA). In addition to the discussion of the company's relation to the above standards, a series of questions regarding capability must be answered. Please reference question number with each response as follows: 1. Discuss availability of training aids used and quantity of participants you are able to conduct training for. 4. Provide standard of measurement and safety used and expected results received from your program for a veteran participant as well as a health profession staff member. 5. Provide ability to certify participants completing the course and agency involved.
