- Description
- This is a pre-solicitation notice for the Maintenance, Repair and Inspection of Vertical Transportation Equipment. The contractor shall provide all management, tools, supplies, equipment, parts and labor necessary to maintain, repair and inspect real property Vertical Transportation Equipment (VTE) at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey. The term "VTE" in this requirement includes all freight and passenger elevator, escalators, and may include wheel chair/stair lifts, dock levelers, and dumbwaiters. This full maintenance contract signifies a VTE service provider (contractor) takes total service responsibility for the equipment identified in the contract. The monthly fixed price includes all inspections, maintenance, repairs, replacements, and routine and emergency service calls. The contractor assumes all responsibilities and determines the amount of service visits and types of service required to keep the VTE operating safely and within industry standards. This is a commercial acquisition. The solicitation will be issued as a 100% Small Business Set-aside under NAICS code 238290 and the related small business standard of 14 million dollars. The contract will be a firm fixed price contract with cost reimbursable CLINS for over and above work as explained in the Performance Work Statement that will be attached to the Solicitation. The proposed performance period is a base period from 1 October 2014 to 30 September 2015 with four (4) one year options plus an additional six month option. A site visit is tentatively scheduled on or about 28 May 2014. All potential sources must obtain a DUNS number and register in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to transact business with the Department of Defense (DOD). Failure to obtain a DUNS number and register in SAM may result in the delay of award of contract or possible award to the next otherwise successful offeror who is registered in SAM at the time of award. Solicitation will be issued on or about 20 May 2014. The Offer Due Date will be stated in the solicitation. The entire solicitation will be made available only on the FedBizOpps (FBO) website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Paper copies will not be made available. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review the website frequently for any updates/amendments to this solicitation. All prospective offerors interested in submitting a proposal on this solicitation must have a commercial and government entity code (CAGE code). All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered by the agency.
