- SOURCES SOUGHT ONLY: This is a Sources Sought request for information to be used for market research purposes, only. The Government is conducting market research to assist in determining the appropriate acquisition strategy. The Government is seeking responses from all businesses capable of providing the required equipment. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE or PROPOSAL. Responses to this announcement are not considered quotes or offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responses will not be used for evaluation in any resultant solicitation for this requirement. The government shall not be held responsible for any costs incurred in response to this sources sought announcement. Participation is strictly voluntary. This notice will close May 09, 2014 at 1600 PM CST. Army Contracting Command - Rock Island (ACCI-RI) is conducting market research to obtain information regarding: (1) the availability and capability of qualified sources; (2) whether they are a Large Business or Small Business (3) If Small Business, whether they are Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Veteran-Owned, Small Business, HUB Zone 8(a), Women-Owned, or small disadvantaged business concerns; and (3) their size classification relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the potential procurement. Responses will assist ACC-RI in determining the appropriate acquisition strategy, including whether a set-aside is possible. DESCRIPTION OF THE REQUIREMENT: Hostage Negotiator Phone that enables communications by use of landline, line capture, throw phone, or cellular service capabilities. SYSTEM INCLUDES: Bluetooth Wireless Technology Interface Primary headset with volume control and microphone LED indicator 3 additional headsets and outputs Command speaker with 50' cord 2 Command speaker outputs 1 speaker monitor 1 digital audio recorder 2 recorder outputs 1 third party intermediary (TPI) input 1 throw phone with braided stainless steel cord with room noise monitoring 1000 feet of telephone wire on wire spool Conference call capabilities 1 port for DC vehicle charger to recharge cell phone while in use 8 hour minimum battery life 5 year minimum warranty Packaged with ability for 1 person to carry Pelican type cases or equal for Throw Phone and Console All plugs, cords, and adaptors necessary for operation POTENTIAL SOURCES SHALL PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IN THEIR RESPONSE: 1) Company name, address, phone number, primary contact(s), e-mail address, NAICS code(s), business size (i.e., small/large) and DUNS Number. 2) Provide a Statement of Capability that demonstrates capability and successful past performance in providing an emergency reporting system which meets the requirements outlined above. Please include the following with your submission: - Current in-house capability and capacity to provide items as described - Examples of prior completed Government contracts for similar items - Potential lead time 3) Submit Capability Statements via e-mail by May 9, 2014 to Angela L.
