- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR Part 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice and in accordance with the simplified acquisition procedures authorized in FAR Part 13. This announcement constitutes the solicitation in its entirety; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number VA262-14-Q-0700 is a Request for Quote (RFQ) for "Brand Name or Equal" items in accordance with FAR Part 11.104. All incorporated provisions and clauses shall be in effect throughout this solicitation and award. This solicitation is a 100% set-aside for Small Business firms who are capable of providing the requirements under the categories described in this solicitation. Small Business firms shall be registered with and verified in https://sam.gov to be eligible for award. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 339112. Small business size standard is 500 employees. Responses to this solicitation shall be due on Friday, May 9, 2014 at 08:00 PST IAW FAR Subpart 12.204. Offerors are advised to review and monitor the FBO website to ensure current information, including amendments. To submit a quote, Offerors shall complete highlighted sections as explained in Section E in the attached solicitation and reference solicitation number VA262-14-Q-0700 on all additional documents. If submitting an "Or Equal" item(s), Offerors shall submit a detailed description and documentation demonstrating how the "Or Equal" item(s) meets or exceeds the capabilities of the Brand Name item(s) with the quote. Correspondence or questions shall be submitted via email and directed to Gabe Caganap, Contracting Officer at philip.caganap2@va.gov within 48 hours of this solicitation posting. All questions shall reference solicitation number VA2626-14-Q-0700 in the subject line of the email. Telephone inquiries will not be honored.
