- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ, intends to negotiate on a non-competitive basis with Wardwell Braiding Machine Company, 1211 High Street, Central Falls, RI 02863-1505, for the procurement of a total of up to eighteen (18) B-10 series Wire Braiding Machine, P/N B10-36H. The B-10 series Wire Braiding Machines by Wardwell is the only braiding machine already approved for shipboard use. The Government intends to procure the above items under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1), FAR 6.302-1. The Government does not own the technical data, drawings, or other specifications to permit full and open competition. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
