- NOTICE OF INTENT The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network 17 Contracting Office, intends to award a sole-source contract to C.R. Bard Inc., 8195 Industrial Blvd., Covington, GA 30209 for the following products and services. 1. Arctic Sun ® 5000 Temperature Management System with service kit 2. Calibration Test Unit This is a notice of intent announcement only. This is not a request for competitive proposals or a solicitation for offers. However parties interested in responding to this notice are required to do so in writing and shall include the following: (a) company name b) address (c) point of contact (d) phone, fax, and email (e) DUNS number (f) Type of small business, if applicable, (e.g. Services Disabled Veteran Owned small Business, Veteran-owned small business, 8(a), HUB-Zone, Women Owned Small Business, Small disadvantaged business, or Small Business) (g) a capability statement that addresses the organization's qualifications and ability to perform as a contractor for the work described below (h) Is your company the manufacturer of the Arctic Sun ® 5000 Temperature Management System, or are you an authorized distributor. Authorization must be from the manufacturer. Submissions must include technical data, including cost, sufficient to determine capability in providing the same product and service to Kevin Searles, Contract Specialist at kevin.searles2@va.gov no later than 3:00pm CST on May 8, 2014. All capability statements received by closing of this notification will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government no to compete based on responses to this notice is solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures. There are no set-aside restrictions for this requirement. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 334510 with a small business size standard of 500 employees. This is for informational purposes only and not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. Any information submitted to this notice of intent is voluntary.
