Description
This is a requirement for the Remanufacture of the Leading Edge Flap PDU. The contractor shall provide all labor, facilities, equipment and all material to accomplish remanufacture, test, packing, preservation and packaging of the F-16 Leading Edge Flap PDU. A firm fixed price contract is contemplated. The items and quantities are as follows: Item 0001: Remanufacture NSN 1650-01-340-6328, P/N 16M002-821; Applicable to F-16 aircraft; Fixed Quantity, 7 each. Item 0002: Data and Reports IAW DD1423s. Item 0003: Over and Above Work; Deliveries are to be in accordance with instructions received from the Production Management Specialist prior to shipment(s): on or before 2 each per month beginning 90 days after receipt of order or repairables, whichever is later. Award will be based on meeting our requirements and cannot be delayed pending qualifications of additional sources. APPROVED SOURCES are: Moog Inc, Torrance CA and Lockheed Martin Corporation DBA Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company. The approximate solicitation issue date will be 5 May 2014. SYNOPSIS NOT REQUIRED DUE TO UNUSUAL AND COMPELLING URGENCY. NOTE: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
