- 01 May 2014 IN RESPONSE TO THIS SOLICITATION BELOW ARE QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS. AN ERROR WAS DISCOVERED IN THE SOLICITATION (QUESTION 2, AS A RESULT THIS SOLICITATION WILL BE AMENDED TO ADRESS THE ISSUE AND THE OFFER DUE DATED WILL BE EXTENDED TO 02 MAY 2014 1200 HOURS. Questions and Answers (Q&A) Q1. In Paragraph 5.4.8.1 you are requesting 3000 sqm of Terratrak Plus Artificial Roadway or equivalent system for 18 wheel trucks and commercial media vans. We own this product since many years and if you check also the website of the manufacturer you can find out that this product is made mainly for stadiums or equivalent surface areas. The area where you intend to use this product is to uneven therefore this system cannot work here. A1.The PWS allows for use of an equivalent product (Paragraph 5.4.8.1.) Q2. In Paragraph 5.4.10.1.5 you are requesting a temporary walkway 300 x 100 meters (30.000,00). Please advise if this is a typo or confirm the numbers. A2.The required temporary walkway should be 100 X 4 meters Q3. The requested timelines which could be optimized. May we suggest our own time schedule which would differ from yours in order to avoid unnecessary damages to the grass. A3.Yes though stages and pool covering must be in place by 25 MAY 14 everything else at the cemetery must be in place by 03MAY14. 19 April 2014 ***************************************************************** Subject: Site visit A site visit was conducted on 17 April throughout the Normandy area for contracted support of Normandy 70 commemoration. Below are questions and answers from attending vendors resulted from the site visit: Q1: Should the contractor remove the entire fence line at the media Center location? A1: No. The only part that should be removed is just the walkway area that will be used for entry and exit. Q2: Will the contractor be given an area at the cemetery for employees to sleep? A2: Yes. There is an area at the media center designated to be a parking lot. The contractor can use part of that space for employees to sleep. Q3: Does the Helipad at the cemetery have to be leveled? A3: Yes. The Helipad area has to be leveled. Q4: Is there a need to provide power at the Helipad area?
