- Description of Use: The laser is needed to perform various surgical procedures and delivers a precise surgical incision during head and neck and/or abnormal growths. The unit must meet requirements according to AORN for recommended practices for Laser safety in the perioperative practice settings. Minimal Technical Specifications: "The laser must have a primary safety features to minimize any risks to patients and personnel during surgical procedures. "The laser must have operational modes that include a continuous wave of 1-20W and a super pulse of 1-10W. "Exposure modes must consists of single pulse of 40ms-500ms, continuous, and repeat pulse with an on time of 40ms-500ms. "Compatible with accessories such as laser headpieces, laser fibers and adaptors used during surgical procedures. "The laser must deliver precise CO2 laser energy transmission during use of the laser fiber. "The laser must have safety and warning alarms to alert the user during every surgical procedure. "The laser must have minimal risks of unintentional activation during procedures that may result in patient or personnel injuries. "Must include a laser cart with an attached full color touch screen with a 360 º with articulating control panel. "The laser must have an automated control of cooling flow when used on oral tissues during the procedure. "The unit must be an approved system by American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and ANS for the safe use of Lasers in Healthcare facilities. "The laser should have reasonable care and cleaning specifications that should receive the highest level of cleaning required.
