Description

Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis a modification to Contract N000024-13-C-6407 with Ultra Electronics Ocean Systems of Braintree, MA. This contract supports the updated design, fabrication, operational testing and engineering support services for installation of the T-1630/SRT Submarine Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon (SEPIRB). The sole source modification is for additional items that include 35 battery packs, 500 Engineering Service hours, repaint radomes with the associated testing, and increase in scope for first article testing documentation. The estimated value of this effort is not expected to exceed $300,000. The period of performance is eight months after date of contract. Statutory authority under the contract and this contract modification is in accordance with Title 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-1 Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This is not a request for competitive proposals. However, interested companies may submit affirmative responses to the requirement by May 15, 2014 to the Contract Specialist Tchwan Slye at Tchwan.Slye@Navy.mil with copy to the Contracting Officer at Patricia.Klimowicz@Navy.mil.
