THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT FOR INFORMATION ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. In preparation for a future procurement, the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston, Texas is performing market research to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (service disabled veteran owned small business, veteran owned small business, hub zone, 8(a), small disadvantage business, woman-owned, small business, or large business) relative to NAICS 811219 that can offer the services listed below: Transaction Number: 580-14-1-255-0235 1.EQUIPMENT IDENTIFICATION: ENTRY #MANUFACTURERMODELSERIAL #LOCATION LI-COR9120 ODYSSEY INFRARED IMAGERSN-ODY-2268 2. SERVICE/ EQUIPMENT The Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center, in Houston Texas is seeking a contractor to furnish all labor, materials, transportation, tools and supervision to provide preventative maintenance and full corrective service of government owned equipment, Li-Cor 9120 Odyssey Infrared Imager, located at VAMC, 2002 Holcombe Blvd. Houston Texas for the period of May 12, 2014 through April 30, 2015 (base year) plus four 12 month option years. Contractor shall provide preventive and maintenance on the Li-Cor 9120 Odyssey Infrared Imager. Contractor shall perform periodic maintenance inspections (PMI) per year, according to Life Tech's recommendation. Contractor Uptime Performance of 97% or better as well provides mandatory safety and reliability modifications for the equipment. Interested companies shall submit an electronic statement/attachment outlining their company's capability and capacity to provide the services requested. Also, firms should provide their business size status in accordance with the small business administration website (www.sba.gov) for the above referenced NAICS code they fall within (i.e. small businesses, 8(a) firms, HUB Zones, small disabled veteran owned businesses, etc.) This Sources sought is for informational purposes only and all businesses able to provide this equipment are encouraged to submit information regardless of Business size. Please respond per email to: james.craig7@va.gov No Later Than Thursday May 1, 2014 by 1:00pm Central Standard Time. This notice is to assist the VA in determining sources only. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued it will be announced at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are not considered adequate responses to any future solicitation announcements.
