Description
The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) awarded a sole source contract to ATK Missile Products, Defense Electronics Systems (DES), Woodland Hills, CA for Full Rate Production (FRP) 2 and 3 (FY13/14) of the Advanced Anti-Radiation Guided Missile (AARGM). The resultant contract is Firm-Fixed-Priced (FFP). The FRP 2 procurement is for: (a) conversion of U.S. Government provided AGM-88B HARM missiles into seventy-three (73) AGM-88E All-up-Round (AUR) missile systems, and thirteen (13) Italian Government provided AGM-88B HARM missiles into AGM-88E AARGM AURs, to include related supplies and services necessary for their manufacture, sparing, and fleet deployment; (b) conversion of twenty-four (24) U.S., two (2) Italian Government, and eight (8) Royal Australian Airforce (RAAF) provided AGM-88B/C HARM Captive Air Training Missiles (CATMs) to AGM-88E CATMs; (c) the procurement of technical and training manual updates; (d) Principal Support Equipment modifications and supporting documentation, training and operation; (e) Non-Recurring Engineering efforts in order to ramp up to a production rate of fifteen (15) per month; and (f) continuous improvement program and cost reduction initiatives. The FRP 3 procurement is for: (a) conversion of U.S. Government provided AGM-88B HARM missiles into an estimated ninety-eight (98) AGM-88E All-up-Round (AUR) missile systems and thirteen (13) Italian Government provided AGM-88B HARM missiles into AGM-88E AARGM AURs, to include related supplies and services necessary for their manufacture, sparing, and fleet deployment; (b) conversion of twelve (12) U.S. and two (2) Italian Government provided AGM-88B/C HARM Captive Air Training Missiles (CATMs) to AGM-88E CATMs; (c) technical and training manual updates; (d) Principal Support Equipment modifications and supporting documentation, training and operation; (e) Non-Recurring Engineering efforts to maintain a production rate of fifteen (15) per month; and (f) continuous improvement program and cost reduction initiatives.
