Description
FED BIZ OPS Post Award Synopsis for L-3 Telemetry East Contract # N00421-14-G-0007-0001 This acquisition is for the placement of a sole source delivery order against BOA N00421-14-G-0007 for design and development, testing and integration, and required support services for advanced prototype components of the Telemetry Network System (TmNS) for the Air Vehicle Modification and Instrumentation (AVMI) Department of the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR). The TmNS system is being developed by the integrated Network Enhanced Telemetry (iNET) program, which is sponsored by the Central Test and Evaluation Investment Program (CTEIP). CTEIP is an activity of the Office of The Secretary of Defense, chartered with anticipating and developing future technology needs of the Department of Defense (DoD) with an emphasis on interoperability for a tri-service (Navy, Army and Air Force) commonality. Through NAVAIR, the Navy has the technical lead for development of these prototype components. The iNET program collected common requirements from all three services, however, and it is anticipated that all three services will update their test infrastructure with these components once available. The BOA is structured to allow NAWC-AD Contracts, AIR 2.5.1, to place order(s) to support all branches of the tri-services as the need arises. AIR 2.5.1 is located at 21983 Bundy Road, Building 441, Patuxent River, Maryland.
