- Description
- The work performed under this contract shall consist of furnishing all labor, tools, parts, materials, facilities and transportation necessary to repair base roads. The work consists of the removal and replacement of asphalt, compacted base, curb and gutter, and drainage structures along 3rd St. from J St. to General Chappie James Ave. This includes stabilization of any utilities encountered. Streets to be milled and resurfaced include Z St. (from M St. to General Chappie James Ave), X St. (from M St. to General Chappie James Ave), Fifth St (From L St. to B St. and from Meadows Dr. to the Medical Center ER wing), Ploesti Dr. (from Pass Road to M St.), H St. (from Hangar Rd. to Fisher Ave), Meadows Dr. (from Hanger Rd. to Fifth St.), Tingle St. (from Third St. to Larcher Blvd), all of M St, Devon Way (from Yorkshire Dr. to Concord Cir.), Benavon Rd. (from Concord Cir. to Yorkshire Dr.), and Yorkshire Dr. (from Benavon Rd. into the Commercial Gate). The approximate amount of road work is as follows: Reconstruction (includes utility and drainage/curb work) - approximately 11,300 square yards; Mill and overlay asphalt - approximately 89,000 square yards; new curb and gutter work on A St. - approximately 1,500 linear feet. This acquisition will be awarded to a Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) Small Business Concern, utilizing Performance Price Trade-off (PPT) Procedures. Interested responsible HUBZone sources may submit a proposal. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 237310. The size standard is $33.5 Million. Magnitude of proposed construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The Solicitation Package, Specifications, and Drawings (if applicable), will tentatively be posted on the FedBizOpps Website: http://www.fbo.gov on/or around 09 May 2014 with a tentative closing date of 10 June 2014. The contract performance period will be 270 days from the Notice to Proceed. All Contractors wishing to do business with the Government are required to register in the System for Award Management (SAM) DOD Central Contractor Registry (CCR) Database prior to any subsequent award. SAM Registration may be accomplished online at https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/. Contractors are further advised that failure to register in SAM/CCR Database will render your firm ineligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number. Recommend registering immediately in SAM in order to be eligible for timely award. The single source of entry for all documentation pertaining to this acquisition will be http://www.fbo.gov.
