Description
The Mid-Pacific Region of the Bureau of Reclamation intends to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for a firm fixed-price contract for Lake Berryessa Putah Canyon Drinking Water Well. This procurement is set-aside for Total Small Business concerns only. The work to be performed is described below. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 237110 and the related small business size standard is $33.5M. This notice is not a request for proposal and the information presented in this announcement will not obligate the Bureau of Reclamation in any manner. The estimated cost of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. Work will be located near the Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation), Lake Berryessa Recreational Area, approximately 30 miles northeast of Napa, California, in Napa County. Solicitation R14PS00021 will be posted to www.fbo.gov on or about April 26, 2014. The date for receipt of offers will be approximately May 26, 2014. The solicitation must be downloaded at the above website; no paper copy of this solicitation will be distributed. Prospective contractors MUST be actively registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database at http://www.sam.gov to be eligible for award. The principle component of work is to install potable water well at a recreational site at Lake Berryessa. Work to be included: 1. Drill test holes at proposed well site. 2. Take geologic samples during drilling to produce lithologic profile of the hole. 3. Perform electrical logs on the test hole and produce a resistivity profile of the hole. 4. Determine the best levels within the hole to place screened casing intervals, and submit recommendations for well installation to Reclamation for approval. 5. Furnish and install well components including casing, screen, filter pack, and all other necessary components. 6. Develop and test the well and submit recommendations for pump selection to Reclamation. 7. Furnish and install components to complete well, including pump/motor systems, column piping, pressure sensors, well heads, and cast-in-place concrete pads. 8. Furnish and install new control panels. 9. Provide all conduits, cabling, and wiring to complete all power, control, and ground installation at each well. 10. Coordinate with local utilities to bring power to well site.
