Description

The VA Togus Healthcare System (VATHS) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 -- Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements with Honeywell International Inc. for Card Reader Access Control System Upgrage PACS Phase II. This requirement will include the following characteristics: Product Description Contractor shall completely prepare site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures, and furnish labor and materials and perform work for the installation of additional security on the PIV-II compliant card access system at the Togus VA Campus as required by specifications. The contractor shall provide the following equipment and services in accordance with the scope documents. Contractor shall design, furnish and install a Honeywell Integrated Access Control system for the Togus VA Hospital. The system shall be in compliance with FIPS201 and the PIV policies set forth in the Homeland Security Presidential Directive #12. The system shall fully integrate with the existing EBI automation system currently on campus. The contractor shall install new PIV-II compliant card readers and ancillary required equipment to secure the doors listed in the specifications and shown in the location pictures attached to this document. The work required will include any hardware upgrades needed to the doors and or door frames, installation of card readers, electrical work required to tie into the existing Honeywell security access controls, programming on the EBI software, and graphic interface updates to reflect changes made. This Notice of Intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Parties may identify their interest, accompanied by supporting literature, to the Contracting Officer no later than ENTER DUE DATE, C.O.B. Responses should be sent to ENTER EMAIL ADDRESS. Information received will be for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. The determination to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
