- SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE: The Department of Veterans Affairs New England Healthcare System (VISN 1) has a requirement for an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) for Lactation Packages for our Women Veterans. The packages shall consist of the following: (1) An electric breast pump that includes 2-Phase Expression technology and is capable of single and double pumping with adjustable speed/vacuum dial and includes BPA free breast milk bottles with lids; a wide base nipple; travel cap for feeding and storage; removable PVC free cooler bag with contoured ice pack to keep milk cool for up to 12 hour; battery pack; storage bag either shoulder bag or backpack (Medela Pump in Style Advanced or equal); (2) nursing bras (all sizes) 2 each regular and 1 each sleep; (3) 12 each washable nursing pads; (4) 1 each 4 oz. tube of Lanolin; (5) Premium Maternity Support Belt; and (6) unlimited IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) Support via phone or in person. The Government intends to solicit and award an IDIQ contract for a base year with four (4) one (1) year options. Award may be based on evaluation factors including Technical Capability; Past Performance; and Price. This notice is published to determine sources capable of providing the services required. The Government is particularly interested in small business (socio-economic status). If your company is an SDVOSB or VOSB note that you will have to be verified by CVE. Those companies capable and interested in a near future procurement should respond via email to Judith.Ruggiero@va.gov; subject line to read: "Sources Sought Response - Lactation Package" and provide the following information: (1) name of company; (2) DUNS Number; (3) POC with phone number and email address; (4) socio-economic status (very important); (5) breast pump information - if you supply Medela Pump in Style Advanced state so in your response - if you supply an equal product submitted documentation on the equal (very important). Respondents must be currently registered in SAM. Provide DUNS number for verification purposes. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION REQUEST. A solicitation will be published in the near future - set aside requirements to be determined based on information received in response to this notice. Responses due by close of business April 30, 2014.
