- NOTICE TO ENTER INTO A SUCCEEDING LEASE INTEREST SOUGHT The USDA Forest Service, Idaho City Ranger Station currently occupies office space in a building under lease in Idaho City, Idaho that will be expiring on December 1, 2015. The Forest Service is seeking to lease approximately 9,615 contiguous rentable square feet of office which must yield a minimum of 7,100 contiguous ANSI/BOMA Office area square feet (OASF) yield no less than 31 government parking spaces including 1 ADA space; 57 employee parking spaces including 2 ADA spaces; and 6 public parking spaces including 1 ADA space. The lease term requirement is for 15 years, 7 years firm. The space must be available for occupancy by December 1, 2015. The delineated area is the city limits of Idaho City, Idaho. The Forest Service is considering alternative space ONLY if economically advantageous. The Forest Service will use the information it receives in response to this advertisement as a basis to develop a cost-benefit analysis and to determine whether to compete the lease requirement or pursue a sole source justification to remain at its current location. In making this determination, the Forest Service will consider, among other things, the availability of alternate space that potentially can satisfy the Forest Service's requirements, as well as costs likely to be incurred through relocating, such as physical move costs, replication of tenant improvements and telecommunications infrastructure, and non-productive agency downtime. The Forest Service's decision regarding whether to relocate will be based, in part, on information received in response to this announcement.
