- Statement of work for engine replacement This document is for prospective vendors to submit their quotes. (i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested, and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) The solicitation number F3C3L24079A004 is being issued as a request for quotation. (iii) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-72. (iv) This acquisition is 100 percent set aside for small businesses. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 336310 with a size standard not to exceed 750 employees. (v) CLIN 0001 - Engine replacement by an authorized Mercedes engine repair shop - Remove, provide and install complete Mercedes engine, engine components and turbo of a 2008 Freightliner M2112MD, 6x4 tractor with VIN# 1FUJC5CV29HAE4121 as outlined in the attached statement of work. See attached Request for Quotation. (vi) Remove, provide and install complete Mercedes engine, engine components and turbo of a 2008 Freightliner M2112MD, 6x4 tractor with VIN# 1FUJC5CV29HAE4121 as outlined in the attached statement of work. (vii) Delivery no later than 30 Days ADC. Place of delivery is Minot AFB, ND 58705 and is FOB destination. (viii) The provision 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. (ix) The provision 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items, applies to this procurement. The government will award a firm-fixed price contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible Offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the government, price and other factors considered. The other factors considered will be the ability to meet the salient characteristics of the items above. Award shall be based on best value to the government. (x) The government advises Offerors to include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items, with its offer. Offerors are also reminded to complete Offeror Representations and Certifications on-line at www.sam.gov prior to submitting an offer. (xi) Clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. (xv) All offerors must submit a quote by 1:00 pm Central Standard Time on Monday, 5 May 2014. Quotes received after that time may not be considered.
