Limited Source Authority FAR PART 8.405-6 Contract Award Date: 30 September 2013 Synopsis: The Department of Veterans Affairs, Columbia South Carolina intends to award limited source procurement to Beckman Coulter to provide the following equipment as listed below. The applicable NAICS for this acquisition is 339112 with a business size standard of 500. The proposed contract is for equipment and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the Authority of FAR 8.405-6. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within 2 days (NLT 23 April 2014 2PM EST) after date of publication of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
