Description
This is a PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE - The US Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center, Sioux Falls, SD, hereinafter referred to as VAHCS requires Mobile Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy (ESWL) services to be provided at the Sioux Falls Medical Center, located at 2501 W 22nd St. Sioux Falls SD 57105. The NAICS code assigned to this procurement will be 541690 with a size standard of 500 employees. The VA will award a firm, fixed-price, indefinite delivery indefinite quantity commercial services contract. Contract use will be limited to Sioux Falls VA Health Care System only. The solicitation will contain requirements for a 12-month base year with three (3) 12-month options to renew. Service will begin July 1, 2014 through June 30, 2015 for the Base Year. The solicitation is scheduled to be issued on or about April 25, 2014 and will be issued via FedBizOpps Electronic Posting System at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. The contractor will only provide the technical component of the procedure. The professional components of the procedure will be performed by VA staff. Services shall be scheduled through the Urology Services. Sioux Falls VAMC anticipates 30-50 cases annually with a possible increase due to referrals from surrounding VA Medical Centers. Contractor shall provide a state-of-the art portable/modular, digital unit that can be easily moved into the procedure room at the Sioux Falls VAMC. Contractor is responsible for obtaining all necessary licenses, and approvals to be in compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations applicable to the equipment and delivery of ESWL. Contractor must be present at all times while the equipment is located at the VA. Questions regarding this solicitation must be in writing. Questions may be sent via email to: daniel.vagts@va.gov.
