Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Neurotherm, Inc. to purchase one (1) RFG-NT-2000 NeuroTherm NT2000iX Radiofrequency Generator for pain management and a credit for one (1) trade-in model NT-1100. This unit is being purchased for the Chalmers P. Wylie VA Ambulatory Care Center (VAACC) Columbus, Ohio. The VAACC Columbus has currently a considerable inventory of disposable supplies for this unit. The current unit NT-1100 is misfiring and cannot be repaired. The requested unit RFG-NT-2000 is an upgrade and other units will require new disposable supplies. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 339112. The Government believes that Neurotherm, Inc. is the only provider that can satisfy the agency requirements. Therefore, the Government intends to proceed with a sole source for the required generator. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302 - only one responsible source and no other vendor will satisfy the agency requirements. To the best of our knowledge, Neurotherm, Inc. is the only source that provides the above indicated items. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available; however, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification to the Contract Specialist on or before the closing date, 4/24/2014. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Information can be sent via email to Asril.Yusuf@va.gov. Responses received will be evaluated however a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Chalmers P. Wylie VAACC Columbus, Ohio will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Neurotherm, Inc.
