- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This notice is being posted as an avenue to provide Request for Quotes, W912PM-14-T-0029. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.202 (a) (13), exceptions to publicizing contract actions, there will not be a pre-solicitation notice posted for this required action. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information in this notice. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTES ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. This solicitation is reserved exclusively for small business concerns. The solicitation number is W912PM-14-T-0029, and the solicitation is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). The NAICS code is 112511 with a small business size standard of $750,000.00. This solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-72, effective 30 Jan 2014. This Request for Quote incorporates the following provisions and clauses: The full text clauses may be accessed electronically at http://www.acquisition.gov/far or http://farsite.hill.af.mil. Triploid Grass Carp Stocking at Steele Creek and Henderson Point Boat Ramps on John H. Kerr Reservoir, Vance County SCOPE OF WORK Only grass carp certified as triploid (sterile) will be used for aquatic weed management in John H. Kerr Reservoir. The US Fish and Wildlife Service oversee certification of triploid grass carp via the National Triploid Grass Carp Inspection and Certification Program (NTGCICP). Fish will be a minimum of 10 inches long. Stock 4,200 Triploid Grass Carp between Steele Creek Boat Ramp and Henderson Point Boat Ramp. Crew: Driver and truck for stocking fish at John H. Kerr Reservoir One (1) Driver Operator with stocking truck. Performance Period The delivery and stocking of the fish that are to be provided under this contract must occur no later than June 15, 2014. Fish must be delivered between these hours to the locations above. Contractor will meet the John H Kerr representative in Henderson NC and be escorted to the two boat ramps for stocking. Contractor will call (434)738-6143 prior to delivery to get the specific meeting location in Henderson NC. Fish will be stocked Monday- Sunday, between the hours of 6:00 am to 10:00 am. Water temperature in the stocking truck and lake will be checked to see they are within 5 degrees of one another before stocking to insure survival of fish. Transportation and survival of fish is the responsibility of the contractor. Stocking will be completed within 24 hour time frame from the time the fish leave the hatchery. All work will be performed in conformance with applicable U.S. Army Corps of Engineers safety regulations (EM 385-1-1) and all OSHA requirements.
