THIS SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY AND IS NOT TO BE CONSTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION - NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. The purpose of this Source Sought is to determine the likelihood of a successful solicitation if this requirement is set-aside 100% for small businesses. The anticipated solicitation will be posted on FedBizOpps. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 23 is seeking small business vendors capable of providing 24 hours, 7 days-a-week radiopharmaceutical coverage to VISN 23's eight VHA medical centers. http://www.visn23.va.gov/VISN23/About/About_VISN_23.asp NAICS CODENAICS Industry DescriptionSize Standard 325412*Nuclear medicine (e.g., radioactive isotopes) preparations manufacturing750 Employees *Note: a non-manufacturer waiver has not been granted in this NAICS code. This sources sought is seeking small business radio-pharmacies that can provide a turnkey solution to VISN 23. Contractor must be licensed by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and be regularly established in the business of providing radiopharmaceuticals. The solution includes but is not limited to: DELIVERY of NRC, VA Joint Commission and USP compliant: 1.UNIT DOSES PRE-DRAWN INTO A SYRINGE AND CALIBRATED, 2.MULTIDOSE TC99M PRODUCTS, 3.NONRADIOACTIVE NUCLEAR PHARMACEUTICALS, ie "cold kits" 4.OTHER RADIOPHARMACEUTICAL PRODUCTS, ie Tl201, In111, 5.PHARMACEUTICAL PRODUCTS and SUPPLIES utilized in Nuclear Medicine procedures, ie Sincalide, ascorbic acid, aerosol kit, 6.Contractor shall provide a quarterly linearity source. The activity requested can range from 25 to 300mCi, 7.SEALED SOURCE and FLOOD PHANTOM OTHER SERVICES: 1.Program offering hardware/software designed for Nuclear Medicine dose management and secured ordering, 2.Delivery in accordance with any and all Dept. of Transportation Regulations, 3.Survey Meter calibration, 4.Dose Calibrator accuracy and linearity, 5.Sealed source inventory leak testing, 6.Other Quality Assurance services designed to aid in NRC, VA Joint Commission and USP accreditation.
