Supplier is to have sufficient supply and vapor capture hose to cover approximately 75 feet from tanker parking spot to fuel off-load pump. 1.0.2Work Location E-85 Pumping Station is located behind building 8 (Boiler Plant) at the Robley Rex VAMC located at 800 Zorn Ave, Louisville KY. 1.0.3Project Work Tasks/Description or Work 1. Contact VA Transportation Service at 502-287-5418 prior to delivery. 2. Coordination will be made with VA Transportation and VA Police upon arrival to park tanker at the off-load point. Coordination will be made with either the Transportation Supervisor, M&O Supervisor, or Assistant Chief Engineer. 3. Supplier will provide a Bill of Lading prior to off-loading into the VA E-85 Fuel Tank. 4. All connections will be checked leak-tight and cam-locks secured by strapping prior to off-loading. 5. During off-load, the driver will remain in attendant at the pump. 6. Once off-load is complete, all in-line valves will be shut prior to disconnecting hoses. 1.1REGULATORY 1.1.1Contractor shall comply with all hospital regulations including: 1.2.1.1No smoking or use of tobacco products within any V.A. building, including construction area. 1.2.1.2Parking and traffic regulations. 1.2.1.3Accident reports provided to Engineering Service. 1.2.1.4Environmental Policy including submitting for approval the Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for all chemicals that s/he intends to bring on site, prior to the chemicals arriving on station. In all cases, non-hazardous chemical products will be utilized, if available, for the specific application involved. 1.1.2Workmen are subject to rules of the Medical Center applicable to their conduct. 1.1.3Contractor will clean up area and remove all trash and debris associated with the work as stated above. 2.0SECURITY 2.0.1Security Clearance must be coordinated with the COR. 3.0CONTRACTOR FIRM/PERSONNEL QUALIFICATIONS 3.0.1Experience: Driver/operator shall be experienced with handling fuels including hookup and pumping safety. 3.1QUALITY 3.1.1The contractor warrants that work performed under this contract conforms to the contract requirements and is free of any defects in equipment, material or design furnished or workmanship performed by the contractor or any subcontractors or supplier at any tier. 3.1.2The contractor warrants the material supplied conforms to material standards for E-85 Fuel. 4.0PROJECT COORDINATION 4.0.1Site Visit Site visit is recommended if unfamiliar with station. 4.0.2Hours of Work 0830-1430 4.0.3Project COR Name:Darrell Collis Number:502-287-5418 4.1SCHEDULES 4.1.1Execute work so as to interfere as little as possible with normal functioning of the Medical Center as a whole, including operations of utility services, fire protection systems and any existing equipment and with work being done by others. 4.1.2Completion time: Work shall be completed within 5 working days after the contractor receives the Notice To Proceed. Work is to be scheduled through the COR. 4.2GOVERNMENT SUPPORT 4.2.1Government Furnished Equipment If VA Medical Center furnished equipment is damaged by the contractor, all replacement costs will be the responsibility of the contractor. If this contract is completely or partially terminated, the records relating to the work terminated shall be made available for 3 years after any resulting final termination settlement. Records relating to appeals under the disputes clause or to litigation or the settlement of claims arising under or relating to this contract shall be made available until such appeals, litigation, or claims are finally resolved. (3) As used in this clause, records include books, documents, accounting procedures and practices, and other data, regardless of type and regardless of form. This does not require the Contractor to create or maintain any record that the Contractor does not maintain in the ordinary course of business or pursuant to a provision of law. (e)(1) Notwithstanding the requirements of the clauses in paragraphs (a), (b), (c), and (d) of this clause, the Contractor is not required to flow down any FAR clause, other than those in this paragraph (e)(1) in a subcontract for commercial items.
