Description: It is the intent of the Government to award this contract for a base plus four option years. The award will also include FAR 52.217-8 "Option to Extend the Term of the Contract." If necessary, the contract will be extended for a maximum of six months. History: FA8101-06-C-0010 awarded to Data Monitor Systems 16 June 2006 10. Set-Aside: The proposed contract action is 100% set aside for small business concerns. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. All proposals received prior to the response date as noted on the advertisement will be considered by the Government. 11. Mandatory Language: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process. Interested parties are invited to call the Ombudsman at 405-736-3273 Based on market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government´s requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice.. 12.
