Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The solicitation number is VA248-14-Q-0879 and is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). Unless otherwise indicated herein. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-66. The associated North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code for this procurement is 334516-Analytical Laboratory Instrument manufacturing with a small business size standard of 500. This requirement is a [Small Business] set-aside and only qualified offerors may submit bids. Only quotes submitted by Small Business will be accepted by the Government. Any quote that is submitted by a contractor that is not Small Business will not be considered for award. This electronic solicitation may be downloaded at FedBizOpps (FBO) http://www.fbo.gov. The offeror is responsible for downloading all amendments and other document attachments from the FedBizOpps website without further notices from the Department of Veterans Affairs, Miami VA Healthcare System (MVAHS). Contractors' must be registered under NAICS Code 334516-Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing in order to be eligible for award. This solicitation requires registration with the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov ; prior to award, pursuant to applicable regulations and guidelines. New Equipment Only; No remanufactured or "gray market" items. All items must be covered by the manufacturer's warranty. The solicitation issue date is 4/17/2014. All questions shall be submitted in writing to the Contract specialist via email to Brendalee.Clarke@va.gov, no later than 4/23/2014 at 1:00 pm EST. Offeror quotes and required documents shall be submitted via email to Brendalee.Clarke@va.gov by 4/24/2014 at 4:00 pm EST. This solicitation will start on the date the solicitation is posted and will end on 4/24/2014 at 4:00 pm, Eastern Standard Time.
