Description

VISN 22 Network Contracting Office (NCO), Long Beach California intends to enter into a sole source contract with Hawthorne Machinery Company, 8050 Othello Avenue, San Diego, CA 92111. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302-2-Unusual and Compelling Urgency; incorporates provisions and clauses as those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2013-53. A justification for other than full and open competition has been prepared in support of this acquisition. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 335311. The NCO intends to procure services and supplies for the repair of the #4 emergency generator radiator. Included in the service is rental equipment. Due to the nature of this procurement, all tasks and deliverables must be coincided in avoidance of losing any emergency power to the VA San Diego Healthcare System. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. A determination by the Government to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received shall be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. Quotes for future procurements may be submitted by April 18, 2014; 3:00 PM, Pacific Time. No telephone inquiries shall be accepted.
