Description
The United Stated Department of Energy, Richland Operations Office (DOE-RL) has a need for Third Party Administrator (TPA) for the Workers' Compensation Program (WCP) at the Department of Energy Hanford Site, located in Richland Washington, to ensure compliance with the Revised Code of Washington (RCW) Title 51 Washington State Code (WAC) 296, "Department of Labor and Industries", Washington State Department of Labor and Industries (WSDL&I) Self Insurance Section Claims Administration Policy Manual, and the WSDL&I Workers' Compensation Manual - A Guide to Claims Adjudication in Washington State, as revised during contract performance. Responsibilities of the TPA include administering workers' compensation coverage and benefits to specified Hanford Site Contractor employees in compliance with Title 51, the Washington Industrial Insurance Act, and all other applicable laws and regulations. The appropriate North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for these services is 524292, Third Party Administration of Insurance and Pension Funds, with a small business size standard of $30,000,000.00. The anticipated contract will have a base period of performance of two (2) years and three (3) option periods consisting of twelve (12) months each. In order to be eligible for award, all responsible sources must possess the proper NAICS code and be registered with System for Award Management (SAM). Contractors may register online at the website, www.sam.gov. The solicitation and any amendments will be available through the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website https://www.fbo.gov. DOE-RL anticipates issuing solicitation on or about May 2, 2014 and making an award on or about August 15, 2014. These dates are approximate. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the FBO website for the most up-to-date information concerning this forthcoming solicitation. Paper copies of the solicitation and any amendments will not be distributed. Upon issuance of the solicitation, there will be an identified question and answer period.
