- FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT: Mission Installation Contracting Command Center (MICC), Fort Belvoir, Virginia is seeking a contractor to perform steam press maintenance and repair located on Fort Myer, Military Base in Fort Myer, Virginia in accordance with the Statement of Work. This is a sources sought notice and should not be construed as a solicitation announcement. The submission of this information is for planning purposes only. It is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to procure any services, nor is it the intent of the Mission Installation Contracting Command Office (MICC), Fort Belvoir, Virginia to award a contract on the basis of this sources sought request. CONTRACT INFORMATION: Mission Installation Contract Command (MICC), Fort Belvoir, VA is seeking preliminary marketing information, from capable and reliable sources to gain knowledge of potential qualified business sources capable of steam press maintenance and repair at Fort Myer, VA. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) classified for this effort is 238990, All Other Specialty Trade Contractors. Small Business Size Standard $14.0 Million. The MICC, Fort Belvoir anticipates a FIRM-FIXED-PRICE contract for a period of performance for one base year (1 October 2014 through 30 September, 2015) and four (4) one year options. Your company must have a DUNs number and be registered on-line at System for Award Management. Your on-line SAM registration will cover any/all of your offers to the Federal Government, and only needs updated annually. BROAD DESCRIPTION of WORK: The contractor shall provide all necessary personnel, equipment, tools, labor, transportation, supervision and any parts under $40.00 to perform on-site preventive maintenance service and repair of the following government equipment: Steam presses, compressors, boiler/steam generators, puffer press, condensate return, press electric and vacuum pump to include all hoses, wiring, in accordance with Exhibit A of the Performance Work Statement (PWS), as required for the Directorate of Logistics located at 101 Bloxon Street, Fort Myer, Virginia. SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS: The following questions must be answered and elaborated on as part of the package: (1) Financial Capability-Does your firm have the financial capability to withstand a negative cash flow of $6,000.00 per month?; (2) Past Performance-Does your firm have the relevant past performance within the last three years? (include contract numbers, contract type, dollar value of each procurement, point of contracts, and brief description of the work performed); (3) Corporate Experience-Does your firm have the work experience similar in nature, scope, complexity, and difficulty of work in the Performance Work Statement (PWS)? All interested firms shall submit a capabilities package and email to denise.f.williams.civ@mail.mil. Submission shall be received by 12:00 PM, Eastern Time, 29 April 2014 and shall not exceed four (4) one-sided, 8-1/2 x 11 pages. This Sources Sought is only for market research purposes in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation part 10. This sources sought does not constitute a request for proposal nor does it restrict the Government as to the ultimate acquisition approach. The Government will not reimburse respondents for any costs incurred in preparation of response to this notice. All data received in response to the sources sought marked or designated as corporate or proprietary will be fully protected from release outside the U.S. Government. No hard-copy or facsimile submissions will be accepted. Interested offeror's shall submit in a written format via email to denise.f.williams.civ@mail.mil. Phone calls and fax transmittals in response to this sources sought will not be accepted. Personal visits for discussing this announcement will not be scheduled.
