Description
Sole Source Justification DESC: AWARD NOTICE : Command Post Technologies, Inc., to provide KC-130J LZ training from 2 April 2014 to 4 April 2014 UNDER AUTHORITY OF FAR 6.302- 1 (a)(iii) Contractor: Command Post Technologies, Inc. Contractor Address: 1039 Champions Way, Ste 100, Suffulk, VA 23435 Award Amount: $9,052.07 The Government hereby issues its notice of sole source award to : Command Post Technologies, Inc., for KC-130J LZ training from 2 April 2014 to 4 April 2014. The tactical landing zone is adjacent to the 400,000 acre Playas Training Center. The center is a remote, high altitude facility with urban structures commensurate with typical USMC crisis response areas. The center is capable of handling classified material up to the secret level. In addition, this area satisfies distance and direction requirements at just under 400 miles east of Yuma defining operational realism within the boundaries of WTI execution. The urban terrain and real-life distance were required in order to conduct the crisis response training mission. The location is conducive for WTI training evolutions and there were no other locations in the vicinity of MCAS Yuma that could provide the same level of realism for a crisis response training mission. Command Post Technologies, Inc. is the only source that could provide the requested supplies without substantial duplication of cost and delays to the Government. This Notice of Sole Source Award is not a request for Expressions of Interest (EOIs), proposals or quotations. No solicitation document exists and no telephone inquiries will be accepted. No contract award will be made on the basis of EOIs, proposals or quotations received in response to this notice. This purchase was made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized under FAR 6.302-1. The award date was 1 April 2014. Point of contact for this purchase is Tiffany Nelson, 760-725-3112.
