Description
The Northern Facilities Construction CMT of the United States Postal Service is soliciting proposals to Replace the Chiller at U SPS owned Providence P&DC, 24 Corliss Street, Providence County, Providence, RI 02904-2457. Estimated cost of the work is between $1,000,000 and $1,500,000 with construction compl e tion no later than one hundred Eighty (180) calendar days aft e r receipt of the Noti c e to Proceed. The solicitation will open April 14, 2014 on USPS eSourc i ng Emptoris (see How to Participate below) and close on May 15, 2014. Th e r e will be a p r e-proposal meeting for this proje c t on Friday April 25 at 9 :00 a.m., on site. Attendance is not mandatory but is strongly recommended. On-site visits may be arranged by contacting Martha St. Germaine, MGR Maintenance, at (401) 276-6882. Technical inquiries are to be addressed to Ned Taylor, Architect/Engineer, McKinnell McKinnell Taylor at (781) 878-6223, or the USPS Project Manager, Richard Shea at (603) 427-6281. Requests for Information (RFI) must be submitted to Project Architect Ned Taylor of McKinnell McKinnell Taylor at etaylor@mm-t.com by 3:00 p.m., May 05, 2014. Responses are expected to be issued by May 09, 2014. The Postal Service bases c o ntract award decisions on best value. Offerors should review the entire solicitation to ensure the requirements are under s t ood. M I N I MUM RE Q U I R EMENTS: Years in Busines s : Proof of having been in the const r uction business for a minimum of 5 consecutive years. Experience: Two examples of comparable projects as defined on form under Sol i citation Attachment 21: Experience Profile. Management Plan: Include items listed under S o licitation Attachment 12, Management Plan. C o mpany Health & Safety Plan: Please reference Sol i citation documents for specifics in c ompleting the plan. Bonding: Contractor must h a ve the ab i lity to obtain 100 percent performance and payment bonds for this project in Ten (10) calendar days of receipt of a Noti c e of Intent to Award. C o ntractor will be re s ponsible for coordination of all work in a manner that will not interf e r e with mail operations and coordinate all work related to this phased project with the Station Manager or designee. The contractor must provide USPS at least 24 hours ' notice of any shutdown of utilities and must coordinate the time of the sh u t down with building operations. The successful offeror will be required to submit progress photo(s) with any payment request.
