- THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. No solicitation will be issued. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract in accordance to FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), authorized or required by statue. This is a one-time procurement. The VISN 10 Network Contracting Office intends to award a sole source procurement with Olympus to purchase: A.GENERAL INFORMATION 1.Title of Project: Repair of Olympus BF-UC160F-OL8 Ultrasound Endoscope, SN 1700459, EE 40779. 2.Scope of Work: The contractor shall provide all resources necessary to accomplish the deliverables described in this statement of work (SOW), except as may otherwise be specified. The contractor is to provide the services to repair the endoscope in order to bring it to full operational status according to Manufacturer's specifications. The C&A requirements do not apply therefore a Security Accreditation package is not required. Deliverable No. OneItem Olympus BF-UC160-OL8 Quantity 1 EADelivery Date Within 1 calendar day after award The procurement will be for the VAMC Dayton, Ohio. The estimated amounted is $13,523.00. The Government believes that Olympus is the only company that can satisfy the agency requirements. Therefore, the Government intends to proceed with sole source procurement for the required equipment. To the best of our knowledge Olympus is the only source that provides the above indicated services. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 811219 and the size standard is 500 employees. This is not a request for proposals; however, an interested party may e-mail a written capability statement for these required items, which shall not exceed two (2) pages in length. Interested parties may submit their capability statement, which may or may not be considered by the agency via email to Jeffrey.black2@va.gov no later than 3:00 PM EDT on April 17, 2013. If no responses are received, the Dayton VA Medical Center will proceed with sole source procurement with Olympus.
