- FOR MORE INFORMATION PLEASE CONTACT: Stephen Chiu and Stanley Chan, Electronics Engineer, (443) 395-6348 /6368 Stephen.Chiu@us.army.mil or Stanley.U.Chan@us.army.mil This is a market survey to locate additional sources for NSN 7025-01-621-1146, P/N 9800-53000-0240, DB20 Removable Hard Disk Drive, 240 GB Solid State; NSN 7025-01-620-9714, P/N 9800-13950-0240, DB20 Removable Hard Disk Drive, 240 GB Solid State and NSN TBA, P/N 9800-13950-0512, DB20 Removable Hard Disk Drive, 520 GB Solid State. NSN 7025-01-621-1146, P/N 9800-53000-0240 is the new hard drive designed for use with AN/GYK-68(V), Force XXI Battle Command Brigade-and-Below (FBCB2) Joint Platform Tablet (JPT) computer system. NSN 7025-01-620-9714, P/N 9800-13950-0240, and NSN TBA, P/N 9800-13950-0512 are the new hard drives designed for use with AN/UYK-128(V), Force XXI Battle Command Brigade-and-Below (FBCB2) Appliqu + JV5 Computer System. The FBCB2 JPT computer system is a fully ruggedized computer tablet intended to provide FBCB2 capabilities in a small form factor that saves valuable space in combat vehicles and provides military personnel with access to real-time situational awareness (SA). The FBCB2 Appliqu + JV5 Computer System is a subsystem within the FBCB2, installed within certain tactical ground vehicles and weapons platforms to provide Situational Awareness (SA) and Command and Control (C2) at the lowest levels of Army tactical forces. The current sources of these items are DRS Tactical System, Inc. (CAGE Code 1RWE7), the current sole supplier of the FBCB2 Family of Systems. These items are only defined by DRS Tactical System, Inc. part numbers and National Stock Numbers. Detail technical data such as engineering drawings, specifications, and acceptance test procedures for the manufacture and acceptance of these items, are NOT AVAILABLE from the Army. Interested sources are capable of furnishing these items must send a response describing in detail their ability meeting the Government requirements. Response shall be submitting in writing through email to U.S. ARMY CECOM, ATTN: RDER-PRC-TR (Stephen Chiu and Stanley Chan) at Stephen.Chiu@us.army.mil and Stanley.U.Chan@us.army.mil. The response MUST include documentation, such as test results, test procedures for these items to demonstrate the interested sources' capability of supplying these items, and copy of purchasing order if the supplier was a vendor to the listed source or a statement from listed source demonstrating that the supplier can, in fact, supply the Army with a unit that will be physically and functionally interchangeable and interoperable with the existing FBCB2 JPT and JV5 Computer Systems. Successful supplier may be required to warrant that the item supplied will satisfactorily perform when used for the purpose intended by the Army and it will be delivered on time. Pertinent information received from this market survey will be evaluated by the Government technical personnel for the purpose of planning. The Government will not reimburse interested sources or responders to this notice for any information received and any costs incurred in responding, or for subsequent exchanges of information. Information submitted does not constitute a proposal and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, but will be considered an exchange of capabilities and ideas. Responses to this notice must be submitted no later than close of business April 23, 2014.
