Description
Insert from Drawing D-60-034 D-60-034 Rev 17 The above referenced solicitation is hereby amended to address vendor questions and answers and extend the due date for quotes as follows: Vendor questions and answers: Question: Can the due date for quotes be extended? Answer: Yes, the due date for quotes shall be extended Question: Are certifications required to be provided with the quotation? Answer: Yes, all certifications must be provided with the quotation Question: Are there any special requirements for working during the shutdown period? Answer: The following access requirements are in place. Personnel access to NIST is limited to the normal visiting hours of 6 am to 6 pm. Initial access will need to be obtained through the NIST visitor center. If equipment or supplies need to be delivered to the job site they need to be delivered prior to 3:30 pm. Access to the job site may be obtained either by checking with the police officer at Bldg. 235(From 8 am to 5 pm) or contacting the NCNR Control Room at 301-975- 6292. Question: Can you provide a drawing/schematic? Answer: Yes, see the attachments Question: Who is to provide the new labeling, the Contractor or the Government? Answer: The Contractor is responsible for providing the new labeling Question: What utilities are available for the Contractor to use when performing this work? Answer: The Government can provide water. The Contractor shall be responsible for any other that is required for performing the work. Question: Are Contractor's allowed to bring a trailer, which can be left on-site to the job site? Answer: Yes. A work trailer may be left overnight at the job site. The contractors will be instructed as to the location a trailer may be parked. If the trailer will be locked then a set of keys will need to be supplied to the NCNR Control Room. The trailer is subject to search at any time by NIST Police. Question: Will the tanks be empty upon commencement of the job? Answer: The Government anticipates that the volume of helium in the tanks shall be drawn down before the outage. Prior to the removal of any cylinder supply valve all pressure will be vented to atmosphere. The due date and time for responses has been extended as follows: FROM: April 15, 2014 @ 3pm EST TO: April 28, 2014 @ 3pm EST
