Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This section covers the technical specifications to provide all labor, materials, incidentals, and equipment to perform the work required as listed below at Bldg 531. The scope of work includes the complete restoration of Standing Seam Metal Roof at DLA Disposition Bldg. 531, (See Sheet A-100), and incidental related work. Area of Roof Restoration = 810 S.F. (See Sheet A-100, GENERAL NOTES) The restoration will utilize an elastomeric roof coating system for metal roofs obtained from a single source from a single manufacturer, that will provide the Government a 10-year warranty, as described in Specification Section 07 14 00. Additionally, the work includes blocking an existing roof drain from the entrance canopy over the office entrance which utilizes the support post for a downspout. The contractor will install a new gutter and downspout system to facilitate draining of that roof away from the entrance and parking area and into the adjacent yard area.
