- ITEM: CMBRE System and all associated cables The CMBRE System is a joint service tester with adapters used to initiate munitions built-in-test (BIT), provide munitions BIT status, and reprogram munitions. The CMBRE system is composed of the CMBRE Plus along with ADU-890 and ADU-891 adapter units, and all associated cables. Specifically, the CMBRE Plus consists of three cases: a) Test Adapter Unit (TAU) case; b) Controller Unit Test Set case; and, c) the CMBRE Accessory Kit case. In addition, the ADU-891 consists of two cases: one case houses a switchbox and munitions unique interface cables and the other case holds the remaining munitions unique interface cables. The ADU-890 is a single case containing a switchbox and the munitions unique interface cables. Materials are steel, aluminum, rubber and plastic. The requirement is for the basic year and four (4) 12 month Option Periods. The quantities are based on best estimated quantities (BEQ). DELIVERY: Place of delivery is to be determined (TBD). Delivery for each item is as follows: AN/GYQ-79A CMBRE Plus- 365 days ARO ADU-890/E- 365 days ARO ADU-891(V)1/E- 365 days ARO ADU-891(V)3/E- 365 days ARO CMBRE Initial Spares Kit- 120 days ARO ADU-891 Conversion Kit (V3) to (V1) - 120 days ARO The Government's required delivery for W-17 cables in the basic and option periods is the first 20 units on a delivery order shall be delivered no later than 180 days after the effective date of the delivery order. The Government's required delivery for all CMBRE cables (W1, W2, W3, W4, W5, W6, W9, W10, W11, W12, W13, W14, W15, W16, W17, W18, W19, W20, W21, W23) except the W-17 cable in the basic and option periods is the first 20 units of any combination of cables on a delivery order shall be delivered no later than 120 days after the effective date of the delivery order. If the cables identified on a delivery order exceed 20, the contractor shall deliver the cables at a rate of 20 units per 30-day period until such time that the ordered quantity is completely delivered. Each delivery order will identify a specific delivery due date for the units that are in that order. T he approximate RFP issue date will be April 25, 2014; proposals will be due Monday, May 27 th, 2014. The RFP will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website. Electronic procedures will be used for this solicitation at www.fedbizopps.gov only. NO TELEPHONE REQUESTS WILL BE HONORED and no hard copies will be mailed out. This is a sole source requirement that will be purchased from Alliant Techsystems Operations, LLC, CAGE: 06424 in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, Only Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency.
