- Response Form - Interested Supplier Business Information Map - Shelled Eggs, DeCA East & West Areas. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS ONLY; NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SYNOPSIS. The Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) is seeking Fresh, Shell-Protected Egg Companies who are capable of providing several types of eggs and quantities to at least 60 Commissary locations in DeCA's East and West Areas; delivery days and hours will vary per location. Commissary locations are put in groups and the offeror will be required to service the entire group; there are 11 groups in total, see attached map. The NAICS Code is 112310. The contractor should also be able to provide additional support and promotions to each commissary store. Additional support includes point of sale material, recipe cards, pamphlets, nutritional facts, or other consumer related material and vendor stocking. Vendor stocking is a requirement for the acquisition to stock fresh, shell-protected eggs in each designated commissary location. DeCA's commissaries are Government-owned facilities designed to operate similar to commercial retail supermarkets that provide food items and other merchandise for resale to the military and their families at a cost savings when compared to the same or similar products sold in the commercial retail markets. We encourage companies to explore the possibility of creating "teaming" arrangements with other companies and competing in the upcoming solicitation or by inquiries to other companies regarding subcontracting possibilities for this requirement. Interested sources are required to respond to this sources sought synopsis by completing and submitting the Interested Supplier Form to the contracting office NO LATER THAN 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time on Friday, April 18, 2014. Responses will be accepted by email to pscc.commodies@deca.mil.
