Description
Repair Boiler Tube leak on Boiler #1: Boiler #1 has failed due to a Boiler tube on the exterior of the tube sheet. This failure has place Boiler #1 out of service General The James A. Haley Veterans' Hospital (JAHVH) - located at 13000 Bruce B. Downs Blvd. Tampa, Florida 33612, requires a contractor to make repairs to include welding an exterior tube on a Boiler. The Boiler is listed internally to JAHVH as Boiler number one. The contractor shall be regularly established within the industry and is capable to perform the primary services listed within the scope of this requirement. An established firm shall demonstrate: (1) financial responsibility, (2) evidence of reliability, and (3) experiences based on personnel directly employed or supervised by the same organization. The contractor shall be licensed with, but not limited to the National Board-415 (NB-415), Accreditation of "R" repairs and thus having an "R" stamp welder. Additional requirement shall illustrate the contractor's ability to weld under all applicable certification documents required by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). The contractor shall provide an outline on the company's capabilities in addressing the elements stated in the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) policies stated in VHA Directive 2010-031 on Boiler Plant Safety for pressure vessel repair. The certified contractor shall perform hydrostatic test of the Boiler upon completion of welding to prove pressure boundary per specifications. The contractor shall conform with all Federal, State, and local regulations such as the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 85 Boiler and Combustion System Hazards Code. Contractor shall replace all wet and damaged insulation and re-installed removed boiler casing Contractor will clean area upon completion of all debris and construction waste. Work to be performed Monday through Friday as scheduled by Central Energy Plant supervisor or designee.
