- Description
- The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) intends to award a sole source contract to Unisys Federal Systems for the purchase of Rackwise Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCiM) software installation and configuration, maintenance, technical support and end user training, in support of the Infrastructure Services Division, Office of the Chief Information Officer. The USPTO intends to negotiate and award a contract for Rackwise DCiMX software NAICS code 423430 to Unisys Federal Systems for a period of one (1) year, with an estimated value of $178,000.00. The anticipated award date is April 15, 2014. Rackwise DiCMX supports and meets all the requirements needed by the Infrastructure Services Division, many of which are available to the USPTO at no additional cost, as these items are a standard feature within the Rackwise software. Examples of these requirements include, the need for custom reports via Microsoft SQL reporting services, integration with other systems including the ability to insert customer logos on reports and within the web console and to connect to other SQL based databases, and the ability to add and export data via Microsoft Excel. Market research was conducted and Rackwise is the only software that is compliant on all the functional performance criteria needed to ensure that migration for the current software is a success. Unisys Federal Systems is currently the only authorized reseller for the Rackwise products and services to the United States Federal Government and respective Agencies. As a result of USPTO's exemption from the Competition in Contracting Act, the above requirement is being procured using the Alternative Competition Method in accordance with Patent and Trademarks Acquisition Guidelines (PTAG) Part 6.1.1 and the Patent and Trademark Office Efficiency Act 35 U.S.C.2(b)(4)(A). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.
