Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office located in Buffalo, New York intends to issue sole source a firm fixed priced commercial item contract to Parks Medical Electronics to provide the Buffalo VA Medical Center with (1) new, Flo-Lab 2100SX Multi-Lab Vascular System using the Sonova Software. The instrument will be delivered to the Department of Veterans Affairs Buffalo VAMC, 3495 Bailey Avenue, Buffalo, NY 14215. A sole source procurement will be issued to Parks Medical Electronics, Inc. as they are the only vendor of Multi-Lab Ultrasound Vascular Systems whose product is designated as "Supported" In the VistA Imaging Approved DICOM Modality Interfaces dtd. 25 February 2014 by virtue of having passed the VA's internet validation test suite listed in the Joint VA/DoD DICOM Modality Conformance Requirements 3.0, (see http://www.va.gov/imaging). This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1 and 13.106-1(b) (2), "soliciting from a single source." The NAICS code is 334510 and has a size standard of 500 employees for this procurement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement and submit quotations no later than 11:00 AM EDT April 14, 2014 to: Gary.Golinski@va.gov. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
