Description
Solicitation For Voinjama Bid Schedule for Voinjama Tech Specs for Voinjama Drawings for Voinjama EMMP for Voinjama *********This Requirement is Set Aside for Local Liberian Entities********* ****Authorized by Section 7077 of Public Law 112-74, the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2012 (P.L.112-74), is titled "Local Competition Authority,"** This Mini System Project in Voinjama includes improvements to two (2) existing groundwater supply sources through the installation of new submersible pumps, piping, chlorine dosing units, elevated storage tanks, solar power systems, battery houses and water dispensing stations (kiosks). Collectively these improvements will increase the quality and quantity of water available at these locations and are referred to as "Mini Systems". USAID is committed to working with the Liberian construction industry to increase its capacity to undertake municipal water supply construction works, and to working with the Liberia Water and Sewer Corporation (LWSC) to develop its capacity to manage, operate, and maintain water supply infrastructure. In collaboration with the USAID-funded Liberia Municipal Water Project (LMWP) implemented by Tetra Tech, USAID has determined the need for a construction Contractor (henceforth "the Contractor" or "Contractor") with solid experience working to furnish required materials, labor, supervision, quality assurance, transport, insurance, security, and all other incidentals necessary for the completion of the Works that include the installation, construction, testing and commissioning of Mini Systems located in Voinjama (Lofa County), Liberia. Select materials will be provided to the Contractor by LMWP and available at the site during construction; the list of materials to be provided is listed in section C.3 General Requirement of this document. The Contractor shall be responsible for all additional materials, equipment and labor necessary to complete the connections, installation and construction of the Mini Systems Project as specified in the contract, drawings and specifications. The successful Contractor will have the equipment, skills and experience necessary to accomplish the water systems improvement Works. The complete description of the Works proposed and Contractor responsibilities are specified in the Mini System technical specifications and the project drawings.
