- Description
- Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD) and NDIA Central Florida Chapter Integrated Product Team (IPT) Meeting RE: " Head Hurters during the Acquisition Process - with a Twist " Date: Tuesday, 15 April 2014 Time: 1:30 PM- 3:30 PM Location: Partnership III, Room 321A/B Background : Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD) in partnership with Central Florida Chapter of the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) has reestablished the Navy's Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings with Industry Purpose: The purpose of the IPT is to: • Remove any unnecessary barriers to reasonable communication and to provide a forum, consistent with existing law and regulation that promotes responsible and constructive exchanges between NAWCTSD and Industry. • Identify and resolve misconceptions about NAWCTSD flexibility regarding Government-vendor communications which hinder requirement transparency • Seek common ground for consistency in Government-vendor communications interface • Provide facts and strategies to help NAWCTSD acquisition professionals benefit from Industry's knowledge and insight. Rules of Engagement: The IPT Sessions are NOT intended to discuss any current or future Business Opportunities. For capacity reasons, please RSVP to this announcement via the email provided below or to NDIA representative Joel Owens at jowens@camber.com and limit participation to one representative per company. We highly recommend Industry send a representative experienced in the Session Topics the IPT will address. Again, the IPT's are NOT business development meetings. Topic: The NAWCTSD/Industry IPT April meeting is a presentation for NAWCTSD acquisition professionals on the "Head Hurters during the Acquisition Process, with a twist." This information will be from an industry perspective, and presented by a representative group from large and small businesses! This is a great opportunity to learn from our Industry Partners how, why and when they decide whether to pursue one of NAWCTSD's competitive acquisitions. Industry will discuss the impact, to their organizations, when the Government sends out Request for Information (RFIs) notices, and draft SOWs and SPECs. They will discuss how they use the Training and Simulation Industry Symposium (TSIS) information. This presentation will give the Government valuable insight into the decision making process our Industry Partners encounter when making critical financial, and acquisition decisions when pursuing competitive programs. You will also have the opportunity to ask our Industry Partners questions on their thought processes when pursuing new endeavors. Please provide any questions that you may have in advance to Orlo_BusinessSupportTeam@navy.mil or you can contact Ms. Diana Teel at 407-380-4903, NAWCTSD Business Support.
