This procurement is for the acquisition of 2,830 National Stock Numbers (NSNs) which are listed on the sole source MTU America Inc. Commercial Price List. Additional items within contract scope may be added at a later date. This will be a potential Indefinite Quantity Long-Term Contract with a three year base period with annual price adjustment and two, one year, option periods with annual price adjustment; options are exercised at the discretion of the government. The potential contract will support DLA Direct and Customer Direct orders for CONUS, OCONUS and Foreign Military Sales (FMS). The solicitation will be available on DLA Internet Bid Board System (DIBBS) ( https://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil/rfp ) on or about 04/07/2014. The proposed procurement contains an option to extend the contract period one or more times at the discretion of the government. The total duration (base plus option years) shall not exceed five (5) years. This acquisition is for supplies for which the Government does not possess complete, unrestrictive technical data and specifications, plans, or drawings are not available; therefore, the Government intends to solicit and contract with only approved sources under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Approved sources and part numbers are found on the attached document. All responsible sources may submit an offer/quote which shall be considered. While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, past performance, delivery, and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation. One or more of the items under this acquisition may be subject to Agreement on Government Procurement approved and implemented in the United States by the Trade Agreements Act of 1979. All offers shall be in the English language and in U.S. Dollars. All interested suppliers may submit an offer. Based upon market research, the Government is using the policies contained in FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services.
