- Amendment One is posted as the original solicitation document did not transmit to Fed Biz Ops or Fed Connect. No changes to the requirement. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The project consists of surface preparation and re-coating of the bottom, interior and exterior walls, and top of steel storage tank used for potable chlorinated water. COAT WATER TANK: Preparation and re-coating of all interior and exterior metal surfaces on the welded steel tank. The circular tank has a rated 13,580 gallon capacity. INSTALL SEDIMENT TRAP: Installation of a sediment trap inside tank. A sediment trap is inserted and secured into the discharge pipe on the bottom of the tank. A sediment trap prevents loose sediment from entering the water system by trapping. INSTALL REMOVALABLE TANK LADDER: Provide a removable ladder with 2-hooks that is secured to welded eyelets top outer rim of tank. Removal of all welded hooks and securing hardware from previous ladder. The Montana Department of Environmental Quality requires a written plan and work timetable be submitted to their office prior to start of work. The work will be performed in an environmentally sensitive alpine zone with high visitor use. ALTERNATIVE: Remove and Replace Water Tank ESTIMATED MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION: In accordance with FAR Subpart 36.204, the magnitude of this requirement is estimated between $100.000 and $250,000. LOCATION: Glacier National Park, Logan Pass. Logan Pass Visitor Center is within Glacier National Park on the Going to the Sun Road. Location is in Glacier County, Montana. Logan Pass may be accessed via West Glacier, Montana 59936 or via St. Mary, Montana 59417. The Period of Performance for this contract is June 22, 2014 to October 4, 2014. Be advised that this requirement may be delayed, cancelled, or revised at any time during process based on decisions related to Department of the Interior (DOI) and National Park Service (NPS) changes. This is a HUBZone Certified Small Business Set-Aside under NAICS: 238320, the Small Business Size Standard for this NAICS is $14.0. THERE IS NO CHARGE FOR SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS GENERAL INFORMATION: THE FOLLOWING REGISTRATIONS SHALL BE COMPLETED BEFORE TIME OF AWARD. Offerors who are not registered are STRONGLY ENCOURAGED to apply for registration immediately upon receipt of this solicitation.
