Description

In accordance with FAR 6.302-3 Industrial Mobilization, Engineering or Research Capability and FAR 6.302-5 Authorized, or Required by Statue, the VA Medical Center in Washington DC intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with the University of Maryland for Veterinary Support Service. The required service provides clinical, administrative, and technical regulatory support to the VA Maryland Health Care System (Baltimore). This requirement is for continuous veterinary research support on a part-time attending basis and 24 hour a day, 7 days a week on-call basis. The service is part of a major system working in concert with VA processes. This is a notice of intent and is not a solicitation for competitive proposals. No solicitation package is available. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses must be received no later than 11 April 2014 -10am, local time. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. The VA Medical Center intends to make a firm-fixed priced award to a not for profit entity.
