- DRAFT Statement of Work The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of Health Affairs (OHA) has a requirement for residential training facilities for its annual National BioWatch Stakeholders' Workshop (The Workshop) and is seeking to execute a Firm Fixed Price task order under GSA Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) 599, Travel Service Solutions. Subject to FAR Clause 52.215-3, entitled "Solicitation for Information of Planning Purposes," this announcement constitutes a Sources Sought for information and planning purposes for qualified and experienced sources. This is not a solicitation announcement for proposals and no contract will be awarded from this announcement. It is not to be construed in any way as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for the information submitted in response. The intent of this effort is to provide OHA with residential training facilities, including meeting room equipment with Internet access, and guest accommodations for up to six hundred (600) people, as well as associated support services for three and a half days and four nights (within the period of performance) of workshop activities. Support services include meeting room set-up, regular upkeep of overall meeting space, meeting space security, audio/visual setup and assistance, and other standard facility support. See attached Draft Statement of Work for further detail. The prospective GSA task order, if awarded, will be executed around late May or early June of 2014. The Workshop will take place in late August or early September of 2014. Responses to this Sources Sought request should reference (2014 BioWatch Workshop) and shall be submitted electronically to Carla Davis at carla.davis@hq.dhs.gov and Antionette Walker, antionette.walker@hq.dhs.gov by 10:00 AM EST on 9 April 2014. No phone calls please. Responses shall include the following information in this format: 1. Company Name, address, point of contact name, phone number and email. 2. Contractor and Government Entity (CAGE Code) 3. D-U-N-S number 4. Business Size and Socio-economic Status 5. Applicable GSA Schedule 599 Special Item Number (SIN) 6. Relevant past performance on same/similar work dating back three (3) years and your company's capacity to peform the work. 7. Proximity to the nearest airport. 8. Documentation of technical expertise must be presented in sufficient detail for the Government to determine that your company possesses the necessary functional area expertise and experience to compete for this acquisition as specified in the Draft Statement of Work. Standard company brochures will not be reviewed. Submissions are not to exceed five (5) pages, 11-point Times New Roman font. All technical questions and inquiries maybe submitted within the response.
