Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network 23 Contracting Office; Ft. Meade, South Dakota intends to award a Fixed Price contract in accordance with FAR Part 12 and 13, for Service needed to collect, transport, treat and dispose of infectious, sharp and trace chemotherapy waste for the Veterans Affairs Health Care System - St. Cloud (VA), 4801 veterans drive St. Cloud, Minnesota, 56303. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 562211 and the business size standard is $12.5Million. Description of the Requirement: Awarded Contractor shall provide all necessary labor, tools, equipment and materials necessary to provide services needed to collect, transport, treat and dispose of infectious, sharp and trace chemotherapy waste for the Veterans Affairs Health Care System - St. Cloud (VA), 4801 veterans drive St. Cloud, Minnesota, 56303. The contractor shall provide service described in the SOW and shall perform the described services in compliance with the following authorities: Joint Commission; Centers for Disease Control; U.S Department of Labor Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA); State and Federal Department of Transportation (DOT); Nuclear Regulatory Commission; U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA); Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) and other state agencies as applicable to the jurisdictions in which services are performed; U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Policy and Procedure; and the St. Cloud VA Medical Center Green Environmental Management System. The solicitation, VA263-14-Q-2447, will be issued on or about April 7th, 2014 with a tentative closing date of April 18th, 2014. The date is not firm and may change due to events out of our control. The anticipated award date will be May 1st, 2014. This procurement is listed as full and open competition. The solicitation will be available through FBO.
