Description
The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) intends to acquire services to perform ground gravity surveys and delivery of all associated data from the surveys. The surveys shall take place in four South American countries where voids in gravity coverage exist. The contractor shall have access and authorizations to conduct the ground gravity surveys within each of the remote regions. The contractor will be responsible for conducting the ground surveys utilizing land vehicles equipped to travel in remote regions and access road networks that are of very poor quality. Air travel shall be used to gain access to areas where roads do not exist. Gravity meters and Global Positioning System (GPS) equipment will be utilized to measure the acceleration of gravity. The contractor shall provide to NGA the processed and accurate free-air and bouguer gravity anomaly values and orthometric heights in the WGS 84 Reference System at selected locations, approximately 2000 locations throughout the four South American countries. The gravity anomalies shall be accurate to one (1) mgal and the orthometric heights shall be accurate to one (1) meter. The gravity anomalies shall also be referenced to the International Gravity Standardization Network 1971 (IGSN71).
